Outreach Services
for Seniors

One of the most enriching things about The Knolls of Oxford is the dedication to helping seniors in our community. Through our parent company, Maple Knoll Outreach Services for Seniors (MKOSS) provides transportation and meals to homebound senior citizens throughout the community.

MKOSS is a Council on Aging provider. Our senior living community outreach services support homebound senior citizens throughout the community. These services include transportation to community centers, medical appointments, and therapy visits. We also provide a volunteer-driven Meals on Wheels program that delivers over 300 meals each day to the homebound elderly in 17 communities.

Meals on Wheels

Our goal for Meals on Wheels is to help clients remain independent longer and with dignity.
Volunteers deliver thousands of meals through the Meals on Wheels program from Monday through Friday. As the elderly population continues to grow, so does the need for Meals on Wheels services in the Cincinnati suburbs. Fewer older adults are getting the necessary nutrients to sustain healthy, productive lives.

Meals are available on a donation or a private pay basis. To arrange home-delivered meals, call (513) 686-1003 or email our outreach coordinator.

How Meals on Wheels Works

If you become a Savory Selects Client, you must complete five new menus and return them to MKOSS. We are required to submit your orders one week in advance. We know that some seniors find this difficult to do each week. Therefore, we request you to fill out five menus, and we will assume the responsibility of rotating them on your behalf. You can change or update your menus anytime by mailing or calling us. If you want the same food delivered each week or every other week, simply fill out one or two menus.

Transportation

Transportation is another one of our senior living community outreach benefits. Maple Knoll Outreach Services for Seniors offers transportation to medical appointments and specific non-medical locations. All appointments must be during the weekdays between 8:30 a.m. – 2 p.m. Drivers will wait after 2 p.m. to transport clients home.

A wheelchair-accessible van is also available for those requesting assistance. All appointments need to be scheduled early and in advance to help secure your appointment. MKOSS operates on a first-come, first-serve basis.

Village Home Health and Hospice

As more older adults wish to age in place, the need for quality home healthcare and hospice continues to grow. Meeting these unique needs of seniors and their families with the personal attention and compassion they deserve is paramount. To meet these needs, Village Home Health and Hospice partnered with Ohio Living, headquartered in Columbus, to form Ohio Living Village Home Health & Hospice.

The partnership allows Ohio Living Home Health & Hospice to expand to serve older adults residing in Butler, Clermont, Clinton, Hamilton, Preble, and Warren counties. Services will continue to provide skilled home health and hospice care to countless older adults throughout Ohio.
