Each area of living offers its own distinct activities as well as larger events for the entire campus. The well-rounded calendars for Independent Living, Assisted Living and Skilled Nursing include concerts, speakers, fitness, spiritual enrichment, travel, luncheons, education, entertainment, and more.
Our social directors act as your tour guides and plan many exciting off-campus events as well. Day and overnight trips are often available for residents who are interested. With the planning and transportation taken care of, residents have the freedom to enjoy each day and Live Life the way they want each and every day!

Attend Planned Activities and Outings
Each area of living at The Knolls of Oxford has its own trained Activity staff dedicated to ensuring our residents live their lives to the fullest. Our well-rounded activity calendars include outside and resident speakers, fitness classes, spiritual enrichment, luncheons, education, entertainment, and much more.
Our activity staff members act as tour guides for residents as they plan and organize many exciting off-campus outings, such as dining at area restaurants, exploring local museums, attending Miami sports games, or enjoying a morning at the Symphony.
Spend Your Time Volunteering
Volunteering provides many benefits for older adults, such as socialization, a sense of purpose, and improved self-esteem. Knolls of Oxford residents have many opportunities to volunteer both on and off campus, including clipping coupons for military members overseas, Miami Intergenerational projects, compassionate visits to skilled nursing residents, and small projects through the Horticulture Club.
Take a Stroll Around Campus
Located on a beautiful 85-acre campus, The Knolls of Oxford provides residents with multiple scenic walking paths, a large pond, and convenient access to many other outdoor offerings.
Five miles down the road, you can enjoy the well-stocked fishing holes or an afternoon of boating at Hueston Woods State Park. Whether you are a casual stroller, nature lover, bird watcher, or simply enjoying the fresh air, there are plenty of opportunities to enjoy nature right here at The Knolls. The refreshing, peaceful grounds surrounding your new home will inspire walking, biking, and other avenues of outdoor enjoyment.
Read a Book in Our Extensive Library
The Knolls of Oxford Library features an extensive collection of books ranging from fiction, non-fiction, romance, mystery, and much more!
Within the library, you will also find a computer for resident use and multiple seating options that provide the perfect space for you to spend the afternoon with a good book.
Try a New Hobby
With less time spent on housekeeping and maintenance, residents can spend their days how they like, providing the perfect opportunity to try a new hobby. Located both within our campus and nearby, you will find spaces for pickleball, bridge, art and beading classes, card games, watercolor classes, and much more!
Residents are welcome to try these new hobbies out on their own or join a resident-led group.
Attend an Event in the Auditorium
The Commons Auditorium is a versatile venue for many community events like Institute for Learning in Retirement (ILR), musical performances such as the Miami University Glee Club, and holiday gatherings. Brand new armchairs and pedestal tables allow for maximum comfort and were recently purchased with funds raised by residents, staff, and community members.
The adjacent wrap-around patio is perfect for outdoor events and great views with even better friends.
